The taper fade has been a barbershop staple for decades — and for good reason. It's clean, sharp, and works on virtually every face shape. In this tutorial, I walk you through every step of the process, from selecting your guard lengths to blending the fade line so there are zero harsh lines.
You'll need a quality pair of clippers, a set of guards (0.5 through 3), a detail trimmer for the edges, and a good comb. Start with your longest guard on the sides and work down toward the skin gradually. The key is patience — take your time blending and always check your work in multiple mirrors before finishing up.
